What is "My Yellow Book"?
My Yellow Book is your way to enhance your user experience. You can choose the way you like to search for information, get information back as well as create your own directory for items you refer to on a regular basis.
Why should I register?
The reason you should register is to enhance your user experience. As a registered user, you can personalize your experience. You can create your own directory, have default search locations, and download information to your local device and more. See our Benefits to Personalization section for more details.
How do I register?
Click on the My Yellow Book link at the bottom of all pages. Select the link at the question - Don't Have Account? Register Here and enter your information. Once you are registered, you can set-up default addresses, personalize your experience, and begin to save listings to your own personal directory.
What is my login name?
Your email address is your login name.
What are the minimum and maximum lengths for my password?
Your My Yellow Book password should be between 6 and 10 characters long.
Is login name and password case sensitive?
No, case does not matter for both login and password.
Forget your password? We will email it to you.
Click on the Login into My Yellow Book link. Click on the forget password button. Type in your email address and email us. Your password will be emailed back to you.
Why do we ask for some personal information when you register with My Yellow Book?
We do this to assist you in customizing your experience. We can then set-up a location for you from your account record.
What happens to my personal information?
We will not re-sell your information. It will remain confidential with us.
How do I save Listings to My Yellow Book?
Any time you are signed into your My Yellow Book account, you can save results information from your searches. Simply press on the save listing icon and the listing will be in your directory.
How many listings can I have in My Yellow Book directory?
We allow you to save up to 100 listings in your directory. If you reach the max, click on the delete listing button next to the listing to remove those listings no longer needed.
How do I save locations to My Yellow Book?
When in your account, simply press the My Locations button. To add a location, press the Add a location link and type in your information. To select this as a default, press the default button. This address will remain your default location on your account until you change it. You can have up to 20 locations.
How do I save my searches in My Yellow Book?
Once you have conducted a search and obtained results within a search, press the Save My Search button that appears on the upper right hand section of the page. Your search results will be saved to your My Yellow Book account. As a registered user, you can save up to 20 searches you have conducted.
How do I download a listing from My Yellow Book directory to a local device (PC/Palm)?
Once you have become a registered user with My Yellow Book and have saved listings in your directory, you can download these listings via Download Listing link to your PC or Palm device.
- To do this, simply click on the link from the listing for the vCard.
- A file download box will open with choices of open, save, cancel or more info.
- To save: Click on the save button.
- A Save As screen will open, either use the default file name or rename it.
- A download complete box will appear once completed.
- Follow the instructions below for the Address Book software that you use.
For Microsoft Outlook:
- Open Outlook
- Click File -> Import and Export
- Select "Import a VCARD file (*.vcf)" and choose "Next"
- Browse to the vCard file that you saved above and choose "Open"
For AOL:
- To add to the AOL Address Book:
- Open AOL Address Book
- Click File -> Open
- Browse to the vCard file that you saved above and choose "Open"
- To add to an Outlook/Outlook Express Address Book:
